Wasabo Beef-Burger

Rooty's Wasabo: Our interpretaion of wasabi - an extraordinary combination!

800 g beef, minced (for 6 patties)

10 g sea salt (coarse)

2 lettuce hearts

3 tomatoes

1 onion (small, red)

3 gherkins

6 hamburger buns

4 tablespoons olive oil


Cocktail sauce

3 tablespoons Rooty's Wasabo



Mix the meat well with the salt. Shape the mixture into 6 flat patties (approx. 9-10 cm in diameter) with slightly damp hands and freeze on a baking tray lined with baking paper for at least 30 minutes.

Clean the lettuce hearts and cut into strips. Cut the tomatoes and onion into thin slices or thin rings. Cut cucumbers lengthways.

Halve the rolls horizontally, drizzle the cut surfaces with oil, toast the cut surface in a grill pan or pan (cast iron is best) until golden brown.

Brush the frozen patties with oil, fry in the hot pan for approx. 4 mins. on each side over a medium to high heat.

Fill the burger as you like and top with Rooty's Wasabo - Horseradish & Wasabi.
